30-Jan Refugio Rio Ñadis

Map of Area
The skies cleared for the 10 km hike into refugio Ñadis. It is an insanely beautiful area defined by the Cordon Ñadis (mountains), the Rio Ñadis, Rio Baker, and estancias in the lowlands.  I was immediately smitten by the terrain and romantic ambience of pastures, cows, horses, glacial rivers, and glaciers towering high above.

I camped in back of the refugio and enjoyed the indoor kitchen and wood burning stove.  It was especially nice to dry my gear for the first time in days.  The stars were visible when I went to bed.
